Mason J. Poe, Sr., 70, passed away April 24, 2009 at his home.
He retired from the U.S. Army and Civil Service. He served in the Army in the Vietnam War and is a member of the West Point Masonic Lodge #129. He was a member of South Jefferson Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Edna Mae Poe; brothers, Ronald and Gerald Poe.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Hager) Poe; children, Mason Poe, Jr., Carol Powers, and Michael John Poe; eight grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Gay and JoAnn Spaulding; and several half brothers and half sisters.
Funeral service will be 10am Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Frankfort Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 4-8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to South Jefferson Baptist Church Building fund and or Youth department.
