Valerie Saltmarsh Crisman, 44, of Medway passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Milford Hospital. She is survived by Steven J. Crisman, to whom she was a loving wife for 23 years, and her two daughters, Lauren E. Crisman of Atlanta, GA and Samantha N. Crisman, of Medway, to whom she was a devoted and patient mother.
She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Saltmarsh of East Dennis and Mary Ellen McMillen of Quincy, in addition to several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Leonard Saltmarsh and Teresa Flanagan.
Born in Boston on February 16, 1965, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Locurto) Saltmarsh. Valerie was a resident of Medway for the past 12 years, formerly residing in Boston.
Valerie was the controller and office manager at Bevilacqua Paving in Bellingham for 10 years, and worked in finance and insurance previously.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway on Thursday, April 30 from 5 – 8 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 8 p.m.
Since Valerie was such an avid gardener, in lieu of flowers, plants would be appreciated for her garden, or alternatively, donations may be made in her memory to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445-9924.
