Mrs. Maria (Giacchino) Romano, age 85, died on July 4, 2003 at the New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Woburn after a brief illness. Born on the island of Malta, she was the daughter of the late Euginio and Francesca (Ferla) Giacchino.
Maria worked for many years as a seamstress for the Marion Dress Co. of Boston. Maria was a Medford resident since 1951 and was a member of the Senoir Citizens Club of Medford.
Maria was the wife of the late Paul Romano. Dear sister of Charles Giacchino of Burlington, and the late Salvatore, Edward and Joseph Giacchino. Also survived by 14 loving nieces and nephews, and 19 loving grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8.Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
