Obituary

CHARLTON, Bruce S. Goldberg, 50, of 15 Laurie Lane, died Thursday, April 23 at St. Vincent Hospital after surviving cancer for 5 years.
He leaves his wife of 25 years, Diane R. (Baird) Goldberg, 2 daughters; Shannon L. Goldberg of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Amber M. Goldberg of Worcester, his father, Murray H. Goldberg of Barnestable, N.J., and a brother, Barry E. Goldberg of Illinois.
He was born in Manhattan, N.Y. the son of Murray H. & Bernice (Freid) Goldberg.
Mr. Goldberg was a consultant at Hartford Insurance Co. in Southington, Ct. and was an adjunct professor at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. He was a graduate of Neptune High School in N.J. and Lavern College in CA and received his Master's Degree from Goldengate University in San Francisco, CA. He was an Air Force veteran of the Persian Gulf War.
A great dad, husband and friend who inspired all those around you with your exemplary display of courage, strength and love for life. You are our hero. We will love and cherish our memories as a family.
The family wishes to thank the St. Vincent Hospital family for there warmth and care.
The funeral will be held Monday, April 27 from the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 10H Putnam Rd., Charlton. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Riverside Cemetery, Poland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fallon Clinic Foundation c/o Oncology, 100 Front St., 14th Floor, Worcester, MA. 01608.
The donations made on behalf of Bruce will be used to help pay for a blanket warmer that helps patients stay warm after there treatments.
