Augusta,GA- Mrs. Jean H. Schneider age 91, wife of the late Thomas E. Schneider entered into rest at Westwood Nursing Home on Friday, April 24, 2009.
A graveside service will be held at Westover Memorial Park on Monday April 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tony Christie officiating.
Survivors include, one son, Tom Schneider and his wife Carolyn of Martinez, one daughter, Nancy Schneider Melton and her late husband Hershal H. Melton of Augusta. Five grandchildren, Matt (Tina)Melton, Alex( Charlene) Melton, Chris( Julie) Melton, Russell( Amanda) Schneider, and Adam (Kim) Herndon. Eight great -grandchildren.
Mrs. Schneider was born in N. Augusta , SC but lived most of her life in Augusta. Jean was a retired school teacher , having taught school at Curtis Baptist and Joseph Lamar Elementary , she was also a member of the Womens Auxillary at University Hospital, and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church for over seventy years.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
