Marolyn Davidson Cooper, 66, of Tifton died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Dr. Danny V. Ray will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Chris Kearney, Alex Kearney, Tye Cottle, Dustin Cottle, Curt Branch, William White, John White and Todd Veazey will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 25, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Cooper was born on September 8, 1942 in Tifton and was the daughter of Kermit Davidson and Nan Lee Sewell Davidson, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Kermit "Duck" Davidson; and one sister, Dolores Butts. She was retired from Southern Air Distributing and was a member of Tifton's First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband, Jack Cooper of Tifton; two daughters, Keetra Branch of Tifton and Ketty Kearney of Tallahassee, Florida; two sisters, Bettie Page of Tifton and Carolyn Cottle of Ty Ty; and three grandchildren, Alex Kearney, Ryan Kearney and Curtis "Dru" Branch, IV.
