SPENCER; Milton R. Letendre, 75, of 4 Donnelly Cross Rd., died Thursday, April 23 at the Meadows in Leicester.
He leaves his wife of 22 years, Colleen A. (Dragon) Letendre, 6 sons; Milton R. Letendre, Jr., and his wife June of Woodbridge, VA.,, Larry A. Letendre and his wife Wanita of Brookfield, Michael J. Letendre and his wife Lisa of Brookfield, Dennis F. Letendre and his wife Katherine of New Braintree, John D. Letendre and his wife Heather of Shrewsbury, Glen D. Letendre and his wife Laura of Springfield, 4 brothers; Donald Letendre, Norman Letendre and his wife Claire, Robert Letendre and his wife Norma, Wilrose Letendre and his wife Patricia all of Spencer, 4 sisters; Pearl Mominee and Pauline Paradise both of Spencer, Mildred LaChambre of Brookfield, Joan Lusignan and her husband Roger of East Brookfield, 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Paul Letendre, a grandson, Capt. Brian Letendre who died in Iraq in 2006 and his first wife Mary (Jette) Letendre in 1978.
Born in Spencer, he was the son of Louis & Clara (Ledoux) Letendre.
Mr. Letendre was a mechanic at McCarthy Bus Co. in East Brookfield until his retirement. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. At one time he owned race horses and was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 27 at 11:30 a.m. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., followed by burial with military honors in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in the funeral home.
