Mr. Laurence P. "Larry" Reusch, 62, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009 at his sisters home in Lawrence surrouned by his loving family. He was born on October 10th, 1946 to the late Mary (Batts) and Augustine J. Reusch, Sr.
Larry was educated in the Lawrence Public School System and was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1964. During his high school years, Larry earned nine Varsity Letters in three sports, three each in Basketball, Baseball and Football. He was the Quarterback, Captain and MVP on the 1963 Football Team. Larry's efforts culminated in his being awarded the Prestigious Edward F. Cregg Medal which is given annually to the outstanding student-athlete who exhibits the highest character. For his athletic achievements. Larry was inducted into Lawrence High's Hall of Fame in 1992.
He also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Larry received his associates degree from Northern Essex Community College and a Bachelors Degree from Bridgewater State College. Larry taught and coached football and baseball in Lowell prior to being named Head Football coach at Whittier Vocational Tech. where he taught and coached from 1985 through 1991.
In 1992 Larry was appointed Head Football Coach at his Alma Mata, Lawrence High School. He led the Lancers for 11 years, he also taught Physical Education and retired from teaching in 2008.
Larry especially enjoyed watching his children participate in varsity sports at Methuen High School. His love of all sports continued throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with his many family members as well as his numerous friends. Larry was also very devoted to the special education students at Lawrence High School who were always very near and dear to his heart.

his son: Nicholas J. Reusch of Methuen, MA.
As well as his former wife Ellen (McNamara) Reusch, RN of Methuen, MA.
His brothers: Augustine and his wife Ann of Bradford, MA.
James and his wife Winifred of Salisbury
Andrew and his wife Constance of Salem, NH
His Sisters: Mary Horan and her husband Jack of Andover, MA.
Frances Zahn and her husband Bruce of Lawrence, MA.
Kathleen Howshan and her husband Phillip of Seabrook, NH
Jean Lane, RN and her husband Phillip of Trumbull, Conn.
and his sister-in-law: Lorraine Reusch of North Andover, MA. As well as several nieces and nephews.
Larry was predeceased by his brother John Reusch
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in Saint Michaels Church in North Andover, MA.
His burial will take place at a later date.
