Elizabeth A. “Betty“ (Amaral) Pavao, 77, of Westport passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 with her family by her side at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River after a brief illness. She was the wife of Frank M. Pavao.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel and Annie (Sperrin) Amaral, she had lived in Westport since 1964. She was co-owner / operator with her husband of Sports Town of Westport. Mrs. Pavao was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed taking long walks at Horseneck Beach, taking trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and traveling in general, but most of all loved spending time with her grandson Ryan.
Including her husband, survivors include a son: Robert Pavao of N. Attleboro; a grandson: Ryan H. Pavao; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Virginia Mason.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, April 24, 2009 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 4 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
