Bonnie Skane
Bonnie Jeanne (Boyd) Skane passed to eternal life April 19th, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer. Her lasting legacy is her loving family, friends, and the community by whom she will be deeply missed.
Wife to Edward S. Skane, and loving mother to Matthew (“Matt”) E. Skane, and James (“Jim”) R. Skane, all of New Seabury. Daughter to Ina C. Boyd and Attorney F. Keats Boyd Jr. of New Seabury; sister to Attorney F. Keats Boyd III and his wife Wendy of Cotuit; and J. Christopher Boyd and his wife Kristen of Mashpee. Daughter-in-law of Doris G. Skane of Waltham and the late Robert P. Skane; and Sister-in-law to R. Michael & Helen Skane of West Chester, PA, Jacquelyn and Charles Gately of South Dennis, and Mary E. Mahoney of Waltham and the late Robert E. Mahoney; also beloved aunt to 11 nieces and nephews and 1 great nephew.
Born October 9, 1963, Bonnie grew up in Framingham. She graduated from Marian High School in 1981; she then received her bachelor’s degree from Providence College in 1985. That summer, Bonnie and Ed began their married life together. Motherhood was her defining focus and life’s legacy.
Bonnie’s career was with the Law Office of Boyd & Boyd PC, where she was a paralegal, primarily involved in trust accounting and bookkeeping services. Having lived in Southborough, Westborough, and Framingham, the Skane family moved to Cape Cod in 1995. While residing on Cape Cod, she was a member of the New Seabury Women’s Club.
Visiting hours are from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Avenue at Route 151, Mashpee, MA tel.: 508-477-4025 (www.ccgfuneralhome.com). A celebration of her life and Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 24, 2009, at the Parish of Christ the King, Mashpee, followed by burial in the Great Neck Woods Cemetery, Mashpee.
