Obituary

Worcester – Raymond G. Bishop, 75, of Worcester died in his home on Tuesday, April 21st after an illness.

Mr. Bishop’s wife Jayne E. (Cove) Bishop died in 1981. Ray is survived by two sons Dennis R. Bishop and his wife Maryanne of Worcester and Thomas E. Bishop and his wife Peg of Charlton; three daughters Nanci J. Schuster and her husband Jack of Holden, Lynda L. Bishop of Bradenton, FL and Susan E. Rogers and her husband John of Whitinsville; his mother Isabelle Bishop of North Carolina; a brother Robert bishop of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester son of the late Peter Bishop and is predeceased by a son Raymond P. Bishop, a grandson Keith Michael Bishop and a brother Ronald Bishop.

Mr. Bishop retired from Scavone Construction Company in 1982 as a truck driver. He previously worked as a mechanic for the Frank Morse Heavy Equipment Company, after his retirement Ray worked for the Standard Auto Wrecking Company in Worcester.

He was a member of the Harley Owners Group and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 25th from 9 to 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street. Following calling hours Mr. Bishop will be buried with his wife and son in Notre Dame Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to support either Camp Joslin or the Clara Barton Camp. Donations may be sent to the Barton Center for Diabetes Education PO Box 356 North Oxford, MA 01537.
