Celeste "Sally" Biondo, 86, of Londonderry, NH, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in the Bedford Hills Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford, NH. Mrs. Biondo was born in Boston, MA on May 7, 1922, a daughter of the late Tobias and Antoinette (Scherzi) D'Errico. She was a resident of Londonderry since 2004, formerly living in Methuen, MA and Somerville, MA. Mrs. Biondo was a communicant of St. Jude Parish in Londonderry.
She is survived by her husband, Salvatore A. Biondo of Londonderry; one son, Paul Biondo and his wife Ellen of Londonderry; three grandchildren; two sisters, Elena Vitale of East Boston, MA, and Rose Bethards of Michigan; one brother, Albert D'Errico of Revere, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son Philip Biondo.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 4 - 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry on Monday at 10:00am. Graveside services were held on Tuesday at 10:00am in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden, MA.
