Robert P. McCormack, age 66, died Sunday morning, April 19, 2009, in Burlington, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in Winchester, Bob was the devoted son of the late I. Dorothy (Foley) & John F. McCormack.
Bob was raised in Winchester and attended Winchester schools, graduating from Winchester High School in 1961. From there he attended and graduated from the Vesper George School of Art in Boston in 1963. He started his career working for the Addison-Wellesley Agency in Reading. In 1985, Bob & Carol Lodi started the Lodi & McCormack Advertising Agency in Lexington. Most recently, Bob was working as an inspector for the TSA at Logan International Airport in Boston.
Bob spent several years traveling and living in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Bob loved to ski, camp, hike and golf which are why he lived in all those different states. He also coached a youth ice hockey team while living in Virginia. He also enjoyed watching and attending Boston College football games, occasionally traveling to away games.
Bob is survived by his loving daughter Kristen Fleury and her husband Daniel of Stoneham. Loving grandfather of Steven and Matthew Fleury. Brother of John F. McCormack Jr. of Wakefield, Virginia Tremberth and her husband Frank of Stratham, NH. Uncle of Michael Tremberth and his wife Jodie of Leavenworth, WA. Devoted son of the late Dorothy (Foley) & John F. McCormack. Former husband of Judy (Harrington) McCormack of Winchester and the late Pam McCormack.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours Friday, April 24, from 3 thru 6 PM at the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn concluding with a funeral service at 6 PM. Interment will be private. It has been requested that memorial contributions in Bob’s name be made to the New England Organ Bank, One Gateway Center, Suite 202, Newton, MA 02458 or Minuteman Senior Services, 24 Third Ave. Burlington, MA 01803.
