STARCK, GILBERT W. "GIL," 85, of Louisville passed away Thursday April 16, 2009 peacefully with his family at his side at Kindred Hospital.
He was the son of Gilbert and Lucille Starck. He was a former employee for Coca Cola, Ehlers Dairy and Watson Trucking. He was a Catholic by faith, a Navy veteran of both World War II and Korean wars. He was a life time member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Highland Post #201, and V.F.W. Post #1181.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris M. Carrico Starck; and his son, Gilbert Lee Starck.
Survivors include his son, Gary Starck; daughter, Madonna Senn (Sonny); nine grandchildren, Chris (Linda), David, Jason, Gator, and Casey Starck, Kerri Aviles (Tito), Albert Lee III "Lee," Jody, and Jade Senn; five great- grandchildren; and two sisters, Sarah Jane Starck and Juel V. Elliott.
His funeral will be Tuesday at 5p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
Visitation: Monday, 1-8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Cremation was chosen.
