Jack Pearce Durre’, 66, of Quitman, Georgia died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 11 A.M.Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Quitman United Methodist Church in Quitman, GA with the Rev. Jay Roberson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until the funeral hour.
Mr. Durre’ was born December 21, 1942 in Fort Myers, Florida to the late Nolan L. and Betty Pearce Durre’. Moving from Miami, Florida, he had lived in Quitman since 1990. He was a retired Architect for the State of Florida and was a partner in the firm of Baggeson, Rose, and Durre’, Architects. Mr. Durre’ was a graduate of the 1960s South Dade High School in Homestead, FL, attended South Florida University, and obtained his degree from the University of Florida. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with friends, building model airplanes, restoring antique jeeps, and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife: Marion Hanisch Durre’ of Quitman and son, Jonathan E. Durre’ of New York City, NY and 3 cousins.
