Blanche C. (Therrien) Harrower, age 90, of Dracut, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew W. Harrower.
She was born in Lowell on February 9th, 1919, the daughter of the late Arthur and Albertine (Grady) Therrien.
Blanche worked for many years at RCA in Bedford, Ma. where she was a regular recipient of the 'zero defect award". She previously worked with Raytheon in Waltham.
She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family, friends and neighbors. Known by "Memere" to all she loved to sing, dance and play the piano. Memere loved to cook and took pleasure in feeding her many visitors. She was very loved and will be sadly missed.
Blanche is survived by her daughter, Carol Smith of Dracut, MA and her son Andrew Harrower of Lowell; a daughter-in-law, Rachel (Vallerand) Harrower of Lowell; she leaves several grandchildren, Josie Peck and her Fiance Kevin Ellis of Lowell, Roland D. Smith of Lowell, Janice McCarthy and her husband Ron of Dracut, MA. Joanne Valdinocci and her husband Denis of Hudson, NH. John LaPan and his wife Michelle, of Lowell, Jennifer and Jamie Harrower of Townsend and Monique and Raymond Harrower Jr. both of Lowell. She also leaves four sisters. Lucille Baril, Theresa Gauthier, Jackie Salmon and Pearl Belanger; also many great grandchildren including Nick Barnes and Shauna Peck, and many great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children, Wayne and Raymond Harrower, and June (LaPan) LoCicero and the companion of the late Howard E. Harrower.
At her request, there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, April 21, at 9 o'clock at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Dracut. Interment will be private.
