William Eugene Self, 65, Nashville, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 12 noon Saturday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 30, 1943 in Louisville, KY son of the late Wilgus Watts and Deloris Heinz Watts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myong (MiMi) Kyong Self. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was retired from the US Army. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Eugene Self and Robert William Self both of Deer Park, NY; and a daughter Ericka Self Byrd (Imara), of Clarksville; and ten grandchildren.
