John "Jack" Hutchins, 62, formerly of Melrose and a resident of Londonderry for the past 25 years, passed away suddenly Monday April 13th at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. John was born in Boston, the son of Hannah L. (Dean) Hutchins and the late Willis James Hutchins. Mr. Hutchins was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed reading, photography and more than anything else, helping others in need. John worked as a union boilermaker out of Boston for most of his professional career. He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Mary Catherine (Walsh) Hutchins. He also leaves his devoted children, Christopher Hutchins, Kimberly Hutchins, his loving mother, Hannah L. Hutchins, Mother-in-Law, Mary Walsh, his caring siblings, Loretta A. Giddings, Willis J. and Richard Hutchins.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4-5p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium 290 Mammoth Rd. Londonderry, with a funeral service to begin at 5p.m. The burial will be at the convenience of the family. Donations in memory of Mr. Hutchins may be directed to the American Heart Association, P.O.
