Carole A. (Ladd) Lindh, of Brockton, died unexpectedly April 9, 2009 at Morton Hospital. Wife of the late Carl D. Lindh. Born in Brockton, daughter of the late John E. and Elizabeth M. (Allen) Ladd, she had been a lifelong resident. Carole was a graduate of Brockton High School; had been employed by the Brockton Enterprise for several years, and as a Medical Secretary for local physicians. For 20 years she was employed by the Brockton School Department and retired as a Cafeteria Manager from the Downey School in 1999. She enjoyed dining out and movies, but her passion was to travel, especially cruises, which took her thru the Panama Canal into Alaska. She was also a passenger on the Queen Mary 2 on the Maiden Voyage. She enjoyed trips worldwide to Europe, South America and Bermuda.
She is survived by her son Donald Lindh of Brockton, a daughter Julie (Fitts) Olree of Missouri, five grandchildren, a brother Warren Ladd of W. Bridgewater, two sisters Mary Jane Burbank of Brockton and Cheryl Hall of Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
A private family funeral was held with burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or donations, take yourselves out to your favorite restaurant and enjoy a good meal.
