WORCESTER-Gayle E. (Wackell) Mardirossian, 66, of Worcester, died Tuesday, April 14 in Autumn Village. She leaves a son, Mardek Mardirossian and his wife Gabriela of Worcester; a daughter, Jennifer and her husband Jeremiah O’Sullivan, of Milton; a grandson Jeremiah O’Sullivan; a sister Barbara Wackell of Worcester; two brothers, Richard Wackell of Holden and Robert Wackell of Millbury; several nephews and nieces.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Vincent and Catherine (Canole) Wackell. She was a professional dancer for many years and danced in Las Vegas at the Copacabana. She also danced in Asia and was the first runner up in the Miss America Pageant. Her whole life was dedicated to dancing.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 16 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
