William A. Brackett, 76, formally of Saugus Mass and Raymond New Hampshire died Monday at Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH.
He was the husband of the late Agnes (Hughes) Brackett. Born in Lynn, Mass he lived most of his life in Saugus, MA.
Mr. Brackett was Vice-President and General Manager of Barker Products, an electronics manufacturing firm formally located in Saugus, MA. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and served in the Coast Guard in Okinawa, Japan. He was active in local politics as a Town Meeting Member in Saugus for many years and was Chairman of the Board of Assessors from 1964-1968.
He leaves 2 Sons: William Brackett JR of Coventry RI and James Brackett of Concord, NH
3 Daughters, Marie Saunders of Chapel Hill NC, Joan Zavala of Salem NH and Christine Ricci of Portland, ME
13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 AM at Salemhaven Nursing Home, 23 Geremonty Drive, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in South Side Cemetery, Nottingham, MA
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
