Obituary

Erminia A. (Ballerino) Cuozzo, age 99, passed away April 12th, at the Winchester Nursing Center. Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Tommaso and Pasqua (D'Amato) Ballerini. She attended Boston public schools and furthered her education at Boston Normal School (now U Mass- Boston) graduating with a teaching degree. She then became an elementary school teacher in Roxbury. Erminia was a 30-year resident of Winchester, and enjoyed her neighborhood friends on Hemingway St. A devoted wife and mother, she was also a dedicated member of the Immaculate Conception Church and later St. Mary’s Church in Winchester. Erminia was the beloved wife of the late John A. Cuozzo, and the loving mother of John A., Jr. and his wife Mary C. Provo of Wakefield. She was the dear sister of the late Salvatore “Al”, Paul and Arthur Ballerino, and the late Mary Macchione and is also survived by two grandchildren, Thomas and Sarah Cuozzo of Newburyport and several loving nieces and nephews. Her Funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home 177 Washington St., Winchester on Thurs., Apr. 16 @ 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church 155 Washington St. at 10 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
