Obituary

William A. “Bill” Chouinard, 87 years, of Falmouth, formerly of Wareham and West Bridgewater, died April 12, 2009 at Falmouth Hospital. Born, raised and educated in West Bridgewater, son of the late William P. and Ethel R. (Ellis) Chouinard. He was a WWII veteran who served in Alaska and the Aleutians Islands with the Navy Seabees. For over 30 years he had been employed at the E.L. Le Baron Foundry Company, retiring as a Supervisor. Following his retirement he worked at Soft As A Grape Retail on the Cape. He was a member of the Falmouth Elks and Wareham VFW. Bill enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, his dog Cocoa, boating, fishing, clamming, dancing, playing cribbage and horseshoes.

He is survived by his former wife and best friend Sarah R. (Gasse) Chouinard; his daughters Donna Lee Blanchard and her husband Kenneth of Bourne, Annette E. Laing and her husband Don of Rochester, and Suzanne E. Katz of E. Falmouth; his grandchildren Andrea A. Laing, Michelle A. Croft, Michael A. Blanchard and William K. Blanchard; his great grandchildren Chelsie and Nicholas Croft; and Grace, Cory Lee and Alexander Blanchard. He was the husband of the late Marguerite (Dearth) Chouinard.

Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 11am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visiting Hours Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8pm.
