Obituary

WORCESTER-John B. “Jack” Morgan, Sr., 79, died Sunday, April 12 in UMASS Memorial Hospital. He leaves six sons, Kevin Morgan of Webster, John Bagin, Jr. in TN, Michael Morgan of Brookfield, Patrick Morgan, Timothy Morgan and Daniel Morgan, all of Worcester; a daughter, Kathleen Morgan of Worcester; two brothers, Francis Morgan of Worcester and James Morgan of Millbury; two sisters, Mary Weir of Northborough and Ellen Osterguard of West Boylston; several grandchildren; one great grandson and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a son, Terrance Morgan in 2003 and a brother, Roderick Morgan.
He was born in Worcester, son of Roderick and Margaret (Bagin) Morgan and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. John was a delivery person for several Worcester area businesses. He was also a bartender for many years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church and the Auburn Sportsman Club. He was an avid dart player and fisherman.
The funeral will be held on Thurs., April 16 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Whitinsville. Visiting hours are Wed., April 15 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter’s Church, 929 Main St., Worcester, MA 01610.
