Methuen, MA - John D. LeFave, 57, died Thursday April 9, 2009 at the Beth Israel/Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Born March 25, 1952 in Melrose MA, Jack was the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Knight) LeFave. Jack was a graduate of Wakefield High School, class of 1970, and Northeastern University, class of 1975. Mr. LeFave was employed at the North Shore Medical and Dental Center in Peabody for 15 years and was a member of KT/DA (Kidney Transplant/Dialysis Association) and a founding member and officer of FBAS (Festis Bax Angling Society) and Angler of the Year in 2005.
Jack is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marcia A Surette and two stepchildren, Barbara A Murphy-Fielding and her husband Mark Fielding and Stephen Murphy and his wife Brenda. He is also survived by sisters Lucille and husband Thomas Myette, Geraldine and husband James McGlory, Patricia and husband Michael Zammitti and one brother James LeFave and his wife June.
He is called “Papa Jack” by his 8 grandchildren Stephanie, Jamey, Felicia, Dylan, Jarrad, Bryana, Kevin, and Bryce and one great-granddaughter Skylee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 3-8PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Thursday morning at 11am, also at the funeral home with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
