Maria “Mimi” Magliaro, of Boston’s North End, died Monday at Tufts Medical Center. She was 90.
Born and raised in the North End, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and the late Mariuccia (Giannelli) Magliaro. Mimi was well known in the North End and her Prince St. apartment was a welcoming place for many children in the neighborhood. Mimi worked for over 35 years as a waitress at the famed Pizzeria Regina, before her retirement.
She was the dear sister of Alfonso and Joseph Magliaro, the late Anthony, Celia, Alfredo Magliaro and Lucia Casali. She was a devoted aunt to John Casali, whom she loved as a son and his wife Connie. She is also survived by Maria Ulloa, her husband Alexander, their son Alexander Joseph, Dana, Traci and Janna Casali who were cherished as grandchildren by Mimi.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 5 to 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
