Lorenzo, A. “Larry” Bove, 75, of Laurel Street, a retired RIPTA employee for over 20 years, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Barbara J. Bove.
Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Marcello and Antonette (Mancini) Bove. He had been a lifelong resident of Johnston and a member of Local #618, AFL-CIO/CLC. He loved spending time with his family; he enjoyed gardening and watching boxing, the Red Sox and the Patriots. He was a Korean Army Veteran.
He is survived by his children, William T. Bove and his wife Lori, of Cranston and daughter, Annette Devine, and her husband, Donald, of Smithfield, grandchildren, Taryn, Ashley and Brendan, and sisters Carol DeKeaulanaere and Theresa Colella, both of Florida.
Funeral Monday at 9:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919. Burial with military honors in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation Monday 8:30 -9:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 or the St. Robert Bellarmine Food Bank.
