Taunton, John DeSa, a lifelong resident of Taunton, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday April 8th 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He was 94 years of age. John was the loving husband of Alice (Mello) DeSa. They had been married for 70 years. He was born in North Eastern. Son of the late William and Adelade (Abreau) DeSa. John was a leather worker for many years, retiring in 1972. Upon his retirement, he worked for the City of Taunton for many years as a Constable and Crossing Guard. John loved traveling with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, William DeSa and one daughter Donna Crandall. He was the loving grandfather of William DeSa Jr. and Ryan Crandall. He also leaves three great grandchildren. He leaves one sister Jennie Florence, a son in law Gary Crandall and a daughter in law Lee DeSa. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. At his request services and burial are private for family only. Burial at St. Josephs Cemetery.
