Vincent Daniel Gugger, 87, passed away Sunday April 5th at his home in Plymouth, MA. Born in Staten Island, NY, he was the son of Walter and Elizabeth Gugger. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Barbara Lynch Gugger and seven children: Paula (Gugger) Curran of Reading, Peter Gugger of Tewksbury, Daniel Gugger of Groveland, Michael Gugger of New Bedford, Martha (Gugger) Osberg of Plymouth, Christopher Gugger of Andover and Ann Gugger of Tacoma, WA. Vincent is also survived by 17 grandchildren. Vincent graduated from the University of Notre Dame after serving as a submariner on the USS Shad in WWII. Vincent and Barbara were residents of Reading for over 30 years before retiring to Plymouth and Boynton Beach, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be performed on Wednesday April 8th at St. Bonaventure’s Parish, State Rd, Plymouth (Manomet) at 10 AM followed by internment at the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne.
