Catherine Salamone
...active in 4-H, Cub Scouts, Tewksbury Little League; 77
TEWKSBURY - Catherine (Vistola) Salamone, age 77, died Sunday afternoon, April 5, at the Tewksbury Hospital, after a long health battle. She was the beloved wife for 50 years of the late Liborio A. "Sal" Salamone, who died on June 6, 2004.
She was born in Woburn, April 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Louis and Pauline Vistola, and raised in East Boston. She had lived in Tewksbury since 1960.
She was a member of the Tewksbury United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Salamone worked as a secretary, and was a graduate of the Catherine Gibbs School.
Mrs. Salamone was honored by the National Cub Scout organization for her 20 years of service, and along with her husband, co-founded the photography division of the Tewksbury 4-H Club. She was also active in Tewksbury Little League Baseball as a scorekeeper. Along with her husband, she also helped produce more than 300 plays for various church, school, and civic groups, and assisted in the formation of numerous acting, modeling, and dancing groups.
She is survived by her two sons, Salvatore L. Salamone and Louis S. Salamone and his longtime companion, Carolyn Felder all of NYC; two sisters, Rose McKenna of Tewksbury and Connie Carlson of Seabrook, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service was held Wednesday, April 8, in the Tewksbury Hospital. Memorials to Tewksbury Hospital, Patient Recreation Fund, c/o Administration, 365 East St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.
