Arthur St. Laurent Jr. of Blackstone, MA passed away April 3, 2009 at home after a long illness. He was born in Chelsea, MA on February 23, 1930. He is the son of the late Aline (Lorrendo) St. Laurent and Arthur St. Laurent Sr. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at General Motors for 28 years and later at Northwest Transportation for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife Bella (Rapoza) St. Laurent. His siblings Henry, Armand, Normand St. Laurent and Lucille Reed. He leaves 3 children: Donna Desrosiers and Robert St. Laurent both of Woonsocket, RI and Ronald A. St. Laurent of Ware, MA; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Albert, Raymond and Leon St. Laurent and Juliette Houle and Jeanie Lane.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Wednesday at 10 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., Fall River at 11 A. M. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours Tuesday 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
