Setsuko Blessinger
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, April 3, 2009 at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Setsuko Blessinger, 79 wife of the late Sylvester Edward Blessinger.
Mrs. Blessinger was a native of Okinawa, Japan and had lived in the Augusta area for the past 35 years. She was a homemaker and a Roman Catholic. Her children said that she was “the greatest mother in the world.” Being a Military wife, she loved to travel. She enjoyed knitting, loved gardening and fishing. Mrs. Blessinger was a licensed childcare provider and enjoyed caring for children – especially her grandchildren. Most of all she was proud of her children and their accomplishments.
Family members include her son: Neal Blessinger of Augusta; daughter: Sylvia Blessinger Newton of Evans and grandchildren: Sean Joseph Newton, Hannah Grace Newton and the late Kristin Lauren Newton.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
