Obituary

Eddie Jacob “Cuz” Dangerfield, Sr., 89, of Summerville, husband of Jewell “Judy” Galloway Dangerfield died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 3 o’clock at Ridge Baptist Church, Summerville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may visit at the church on Sunday from 1:30 o’clock until the hour of service.

Mr. Dangerfield was born June 10, 1919 in Berkeley County, son of the late William B. Dangerfield and Martha Droze Dangerfield. He attended Berkeley County schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed witnessing and leading others to Christ. He also enjoyed fishing, mechanic work and gardening. He retired from the Naval Weapons Station as mechanic in the motor pool. He was a member of Ridge Baptist Church where he served as deacon for over 50 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 63 years are:
2 sons and 2 daughters: William “Billy” Dangerfield (Thomas Jean), Wayne Dangerfield (Suzanne), Vera Dangerfield Jackson all of Summerville and Joyce Dangerfield Anderson (Drue) of Tifton, Georgia and daughter in law; Eileen Pye Dangerfield,
1 brother and 4 sisters: Marvin Dangerfield, Elizabeth Ward, Vivian Mizell, Essie Huff all of Summerville and Emmaline Hill of Travelers Rest, SC.
11 grands, 18 great grands and 1 great great grandson.
He was predeceased by a son: Eddie “E.J.” Dangerfield, Jr., son-in-law: Larry Jackson, brothers and sisters: Gerald Dangerfield, Lewis Dangerfield, Leroy Dangerfield, Ruth Jackson, Geraldine Fulton and Minnie Hall.
