New Bedford-Doreen L. Silva age 56 died Thursday April 2nd at home after a short illness. She was the loving mother of Shawn Silva, George De Mello and Jason De Mello all of New Bedford. Doreen was the loved grandmother of Amethyst Silva, Alyssa De Mello, Dominic De Mello and Mason De Mello. She was the sister of the late James and George Camara. She is also survived by two nieces Kathy and Dolly Camara.
Mrs. Silva was the daughter of the late Manual and Lillian Perry (Evangelo) Camara. She was a life-long resident.
Mrs. Silva Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. on Monday at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of Gaudalupe at St. James Parish at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday 6-9 P.M.
