WORCESTER
Inez A. (Romkey) Dickie, 100, formerly of Eureka St. died Wed. April 1 in the Christopher House.
Her husband of 63 years, Franklin A. Dickie died in 1989. She leaves eight children, Wayne R. Dickie of Oxford, Bruce H. Dickie , Craig S. Dickie, Roger L. Dickie , Roberta E. Connor and Marcia J. Hedge all of Worcester, Linda M. Berry of Arizona, and Ann D. Webber of Florida; 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A son, Arlen E. Dickie; four grandchildren, Scott A. Webber, Wayne R. Dickie, Jr., Nancy A. Hedge and David J. Dickie; two brothers, Russell S. Romkey and Louis S. Romkey, Jr., two sisters, Jeanne Wilson and Marjorie Nickerson predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Louis S. and Leona L. (Acker) Romkey.
Inez was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and sang in the choir until the age of 95. She was also active in the Women’s Republican Club of Worcester County and the Triple M Club of Aldersgate Methodist Church

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 19 in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 0 Freeland Street. Burial took place in Rural Cemetery on April 4th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 0 Freeland St., Worcester, 01603 or the Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Dr. Worcester, 01605.
