Lee A. “Happy” Sigler, Sr., 85, passed away March 30, 2009 in Oxford, MS, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born to the late Hubbard and Violet Reel Sigler in Marked Tree, AR. He served with the CBs during WWII in the United States Navy. He was a heavy equipment operator for Yalobusha County and a member of the First Assembly of God in Water Valley, MS.
A visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 5 to 7 pm. The funeral service will held in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Carl McClain and Rev. Ronnie Bradley presiding. The committal will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.
Happy is survived by his wife, Betty Ruth Sigler of Water Valley, MS; daughters, Mary Elizabeth Russell of Benton, AR and Sandra Kaye Bradley of Sarah, MS; sons, Lee A. Sigler, Jr. of Hernando, MS and Phillip S. Sigler of Denton, TX; step-daughters, Debbie Jo Eubanks of Jackson, MS and Linda Diane Sullivan of Poplarville, MS; step-son, John Sprayberry of Mount Olive, MS; sisters, Mary Lee Fraize of Rena Laura, MS, Ella Romatino of Baton Rouge, LA, Virginia Widden of Sumrall, MS and Kandace Norton of Gulfport, MS; brothers, Robert Sigler of Gulfport, MS, Pete Sigler of Bakersfield, CA and Sammie Sigler of Gulfport, MS; step-sister, Laura May of Pontotoc, MS; step brothers, Freddie White and James White both of Pontotoc, MS; 11 grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 18 step-great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Happy was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Sigler; brothers, Joe Lee Silas Sigler, Hubbard Sigler, Mike Senate Jenkins, and James Williams; step-brother Bill White; and step-son LeDarrel Sprayberry.
