Jean Casseus, of Boston, was born on June 26, 1924 in Port-au-Prince Haiti. He was married to the late Ermite Olivier for many years. In 1972 they came to the United States and settled in Boston. For over twenty years he had been employed as a Carpenter for the Engineering Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital which was formerly known as Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. At the age of 65 he retired and relocated to Florida. After his wife passed away he came back to Boston to be close to his family. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching soccer games.
Jean went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2009 at the age of 84. He is survived by his older brother Murat Casseus, his nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. Jean will surely be missed by his family and friends. We will remember Jean for his generosity towards others and the memories we shared with him during family gatherings. Jean possessed a great sense of humor and a strong passion for life.
