CARBY, FRED S., 72, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009.
He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company (Kentucky Truck Plant), a member of the National Mustang Assoc., and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Jackie Carby; his children, Stephanie J. Phelps (Daniel), and Gregory J. Carby (Nancy E.); grandson, James Frederick Phelps; great-granddaughter, Alessa Mae Phelps; his brothers, Ray and Bobby Carby; and sisters, Ruth Seele, Doris Rich, and Shirley Paris.
Funeral service will be noon Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be 2 -8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
