PAULINE M. (GOEDECKE) HERMANSON of Hingham and Brooksville, FL, died on Monday, March 30th, 2009 at the Quincy Medical Center. She was 77. Mrs. Hermanson was born in Weymouth and was a lifelong resident of Hingham, graduating from Hingham High School in 1948. She was an artist by profession and traveled extensively thoughout New England displaying her work. In earlier years, she was a school crossing guard for the Hingham Police Dept., and a switchboard operator for both the New England Telephone Co. and Quincy Medical Center. She was devoted to her family and particularly loved to dance.
She was the beloved wife of Fred W. Hermanson, Jr. and devoted mother of Christy Bacon of Davenport, FL, Fred W. Hermanson, III and his wife Maria of Westfield, MA, Amy F. Rabinovitz and her husband Steven of Hingham, Caroline L. Haley and her husband John of Hingham and Robert J. Hermanson and his wife Candi of Buckfield, ME. Sister of Laura C. Ricci of Scituate and the late Fred Turner, Mark H. Goedecke, Jr., Grace L. Muzzi and Ruth B. Ewell. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services Friday, April 3rd at 10 AM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham. Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel on Thursday from 5-8 PM.
