
Carol Ann Paradis, 64, died March 27, 2009, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Lawrence, MA on April 14, 1944 to Alice Bourrassau. She was raised and attended school in Derry, NH. She moved to Londonderry, NH and later Manchester, where she raised three children. She was a long-time manager of the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Manchester until she retired due to illness. She enjoyed musical theater, games and puzzles, the Red Sox, keeping up with local news and events and, most of all, spending time with family and friends. She was a long-time volunteer for the Palace Theater in Manchester and a long-time member of Calvary Bible Church. Carol was loved by and a friend to all who had the good fortune to meet her.
Family includes her husband of 47 years, Maurice F. Paradis; children Michael P. Paradis, Nancy L. Paradis, Donna J. McGrath; grandchildren Zachary J. Paradis, Ariana C. McGrath, Kelsi B. McGrath; brother John P. Bourrassau; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and in-laws. She was predeceased by a sister, Sharan I. Whitney.
Visiting hours were held from 4-7pm Monday, April 6, 2009 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A memorial service followed Monday at 7:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Bible Church, 145 Hampstead Rd., Derry, NH 03038.
