Madeline M. (Lafond) Montminy, 84, of Manchester died March 29, 2009 at Catholic Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in Providence, RI on September 11, 1924, she was the daughter of Leonard and Florence (Perras) Lafond. She was a graduate of West High School, class of 1943B and lived in Manchester most of her life.
Mrs. Montminy worked as a statistician for the state of New Hampshire for many years. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a life member of the Alpine Club. She enjoyed playing bingo.
She was married 55 years to Wilfred J. Montminy, who died in 2002.
The family includes five children, Lucille Shea of Hooksett, Gerald Montminy of Treasure Island, Fl, Maurice Montminy of Londonderry, Luanne Raymond of Manchester and Debra Lemay of Methuen, MA; 8 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, April 3, 2009 at noon at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
