New Bedford – David W. Cook, 45, of New Bedford died March 30, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Mr. Cook was born in New Bedford, son of Dorothy F. (Pittsley) Cook and the late Wilfred W. Cook, and was a lifelong resident of the city. He was employed as a commercial fisherman on various local fishing vessels until he was disabled in 1990. He enjoyed sport fishing, music, CB radios and riding his scooter.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by 3 sisters: Nancy A. Oliveira, Carol A. Cornell and Betty L. Cook; 4 brothers: Wilfred W. Cook, Jr., Douglas E. Cook, Jesse A. Cook and Allen B. Cook; and many nieces & nephews.
He was brother of the late Barbara L. Mello.
