Andover, MA- Stella Pitkevitch, 95, former resident of Methuen, died Saturday, March 28th, 2009 at the Wingate at Andover. Stella was born and educated in Lawrence, MA, daughter to Matthew and Mary (Nadolna) Pitkevitch. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by JoGal Shoe Company in Lawrence. For more then 20 years, she was a dedicated volunteer at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence.
Stella is survived by her two nephews, Donald Kraunelis of Florida and Leo Kraunelis of Haverhill, as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Leonard M. Pitkevitch, sisters Sophie Kraunelis, Mary Pitkevitch, and Blanch Pitkevitch, a brother Walter Pitkevitch and her nephew Alan P. Kraunelis.
ARRANGEMENTS: At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, April 2nd, 2009 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, with burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
