HERBERT, REVA MARIE WINE
Reva Marie Wine Herbert, 74, of Summerville, wife of Howard T. Herbert, entered into rest at her home on Friday, March 27, 2009.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11 o’clock at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, 265 N. Shelmore Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC. Family and friends are welcome to attend a reception in the church hall following the memorial service. Burial will be private.
Miss Herbie, as she was so affectionately known, was born May 9, 1934 in Gasaway, West Virginia. She was a graduate of B.M. Spurr School of Nursing in Glendale, West Virginia as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She was a practicing nurse for forty years. She retired from White Oak Manor, North Charleston in 2002 after serving patients and family’s on B-Wing. She was the recipient of numerous awards for her service and caring. May her memory be eternal. Marie and Tom were married October 19, 1957 at Elm Grove, West Virginia and spent almost 52 years in love.

Survivors, including her husband Tom, are one son; Mark D. Herbert of Frankfort, KY, one daughter; Clara Jeanette Luttrell of Chattanooga, TN, four grandchildren; Barbara Herbert, Beth Herbert, Jennifer Marie Bean and Donald Blackston, and four great grandchildren; Kia Blackston, Coco Blackston, Isabelle Ann Bean and Isaiah Joseph Bean.
