
TYNGSBORO - Norbert L. Provencher, 84, a resident of Tyngsboro, died Saturday March 28th at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell. He was the husband of the late Doris E. (Marr) Provencher, who died March 20, 2006.
He was born in Lowell on February 13, 1925, and he was the son of the late Napoleon and Cora (Renaud) Provencher. He attended Lowell schools.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Provencher was employed for 33 years as a printer by Shaw Print in Lowell. After that, he worked at different part time jobs until the age of 80.
He was a loving father, husband, and grandfather, and he enjoyed dancing, gardening, and socializing with people.
He was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Provencher and his wife Lisa, and Alan Provencher, all of Tyngsboro, and one daughter Gail Hailson of Lowell. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, four sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Tuesday from 11 until 12 PM, followed by his Funeral Service at 12:30 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
