Mr. Donald B. Bean, 73, of Hudson, New Hampshire, formerly of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Friday, March 27th, 2009 at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Don was born on April 3rd, 1935 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late Byron and Marion (Buckley) Bean. He was educated in the local schools of Lawrence and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1953. Mr. Bean worked for the United States Postal Service in various towns. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was an attendant of Saint Lucy's Church in Methuen, MA.
Don loved animals and enjoyed reading. He took a special interest in his salt water aquarium which he took great pride in. Don loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. The family mentioned that one could always get good advice about gardening because he had a green thumb and was good with his plants, roses and flowers.
He and his wife Geraldine A. (Duggan) Bean celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 6th, 2008.

Emily and Nathan Walker
As well as several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, March 30th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
Burial will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
