Laurie Ann Brayman of Lord’s Point, Stonington, passed away March 26, 2009 at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital following a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy.
Laurie was born in Westerly on October 29, 1958 to Judith (Durant) Brayman of Stonington and the late Robert E. Brayman. She was a 1977 graduate of Fitch High School.
In addition to her mother, Laurie is survived by her son, Jason E. Brayman of So. Portland, ME; her brother, Michael D. Brayman of Santa Cruz, CA; her niece Amanda Hillyer and Amanda’s son Burke of Hopewell, VA. In addition to her father, Laurie was predeceased by her brother Robert W. Brayman and her sister, Margaret E. Hillyer.
Laurie loved her family, her cat Toby, and travelling to Vermont and Maine to visit relatives. She also enjoyed cooking and word puzzles and Major and Minor Baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox and Portland Maine Sea Dogs.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Tuesday at 1pm. Interment at Elm Grove Cemetery will be private.
