Augusta, GA –Mrs. Eleanor Robertson McMahon, 81, entered into rest Tuesday, March 24, 2009.
Mrs. McMahon was a native of Atlanta, GA and had lived in Augusta for the past 12 years. She was a homemaker. In her younger years, she had been extensively involved in the golf industry, including the Masters. She enjoyed golf so much that she installed a putting green in her own back yard.
Family members include her sons: Dr. Bill McMahon of Atlanta, Dr. Dave McMahon of Malibu, CA and granddaughter: Cece McMahon of Atlanta. Mrs. McMahon was pre-deceased by her father: Lewis B. Robertson who died at the age of 103 and her mother: Ellen Lightfoot Robertson who died at the age of 85.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Donald Prosser officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
