Joseph John Danca, 83 of Woburn, died Monday, at his home. He was the son of the late Joseph and the late Rose (Rizza) Danca. Mr. Danca was born in Woburn and a lifelong resident. He attended Woburn Schools.
Joe was a truck driver throughout his career and worked for Frizzell Bros, American Oil Co. And Thorsten & Parker Trucking Co. He retired thirteen years ago. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta E. (Canning) Danca, two daughters, Karen I. Kinneen and her husband David of Woburn, Joyce E. Hammer and her husband, John of Billerica, and a son Joseph J. Danca and his wife, Pam of Wakefield. Also survived by nine loving grandchildren, and four loving great grandchildren, a brother Anthony Danca of Medford and a sister, Mary Nelson of Winchester and the late Roy and Salvatore Danca, Rose Vella and Grace Loycano.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Thursday at 9AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated at St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St. Woburn, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wed 4 thru 8PM. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
