LAWRENCE - Doris V. (Major) St. Pierre 94 died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday March 22, 2009 at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lawrence.
Born on June 17, 1914 in Lawrence daughter of Adalard and Nellie (Boisseneau) Major. Doris was the heart of the home and devoted her life to her husband Gilbert of 60 years, who predeceased her in death. She devoted her life to her husband and children and was known for her lighthearted spirit and generosity. She delighted in telling jokes and stories and always had a jar of jam or some other home-made item to give any visitor before leaving.
She is survived by her children Ernest St. Pierre and his wife Susan of Williamston, MI, Adele St. Pierre and partner Jean Clinton of Tucson, AZ, Rev. Ronald St. Pierre, Pastor of St. Mary Magdalen Parish, Tyngsboro, MA and Kenneth St. Pierre and his wife Mary Ann of Andover, MA.
She also leaves behind five grandchildren Trina, Aimee, Paul, John and Christina.
2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family of Doris would like to thank the staff at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their superior care to Doris.
ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in her honor to: St. Mary Magdalen Building Fund, P.O. Box 100 Tyngsboro, MA 01879. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00p.m. – 7:30p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Hone, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30a.m. at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. MA with her son Rev. Fr. Ron officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Mary Mausoleum in Lawrence, MA
